“Whoever hears these words of mine but does not do them is like building a house on the sand.” That is what Jesus said. To live a life against what He taught is like building a house on sand.  When everything is good and peaceful its fine.  But when the storms of life hit we sink.  

Instead He said we need to build our lives on rock.  “Whoever hears these words of mine and does them is like building a house on rock.”  Whatever comes your way you will be able to stand firm.

What are these words Jesus talks about?  This is at the conclusion of the most famous sermon.  The sermon on the mount. Matthew chapter 5-7.  Jesus isn’t just talking in generalities but about the words of the sermon He just gave them. To build our lives on these words.
