On June 21st from 9:30-11:30, we will have an event to explore what Biblical Counseling is, what Biblical Counseling is not, who it's for, and how to counsel Biblically. If you are someone who has struggled with your mental health, or if you are struggling with your mental health, or if you simply want to learn more about this topic, please mark your calendar for this event! This summer we will tackle a topic every parent loves to discuss with their kids: biblical sexuality. Our launching point for study and discussion is Mama Bear Apologetics: Guide to Sexuality. But please do not let the title fool you. This group will be just as appropriate for dads as it is for moms, and we will use our time to discuss the main text, as well as dig into scripture, and learn about additional resources as well. The aim of the study is to understand God’s design for gender, sex, marriage, and family as a beautiful portrait that reveals the nature of God Himself, to identify the sneaky tactics being used to lead us astray to adopt an unbiblical view of sexuality under the guise of Christian-sounding words, and to teach your kids to treat those who hold different beliefs with gentle, Christlike compassion without compromising biblical values. This group would be appropriate for parents of infants, teenagers, and everyone in between. I welcome grandparents and other caregivers to join us as well. It is never too early to start feeling equipped, and it is never too late to begin.

We are offering two separate day and time options to best fit your schedule: one group will meet at my home in Whitinsville on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 beginning June 17, the other group will meet at the church on Thursday mornings from 10:00-11:30 beginning June 19. The Men's Ministry is hosting a Father's Day Breakfast on June 14th at 8:00 am. We will be cooking great food and having a greater opportunity for fellowship .
